NOPHOTO
26 May 2010
[…] According to recently declassified documents, alfa-SATURIO constituted the first phase in a secret project to clone the population of Soria. The experiment had an ambitious objective to increase the demographic size of this Spanish province for the future […] Doctors from the prestigious Department of Molecular Photography and Digital Sociology at U.E.C.O. carried out several clinical trials that, in only forty-eight hours, caused the population to increase 0.136% (41 people of different ages) in the capital city of Soria […]
alfa-SATURIO is an intervention conceived and coordinated by NOPHOTO with participation from the collectives SUB.COOP, CIA DE FOTO, RUIDO PHOTO and TRANSIT, which took place on the streets of Soria from May 16 to 18, 2010, as part of the E·CO Meeting between European and American Photography Collectives.
The exhibition can be seen at the former Bank of Spain Building (Plaza de San Esteban, 1. Soria) from May 18 to July 11, 2010.

NOPHOTO presents We are a Cycling Team, a project that forms part of E·CO 2010. Meeting of Euro-American Photographic Collectives.
We are a Cycling Team aims to question preconceived ideas and contradictory topics in which information has been simplified overall, particularly on subject matters related to the environment.
NOPHOTO envisions a visual exercise to take place in a remote location. A determined team rides through an adverse landscape filled with obstacles and difficulties. In this manner, the cyclists turn into a projection of the collective’s members, and their path, a metaphor on the nature of creative experience.
